Paying its workers a dollar a day, thousands of stones were hauled in from the hedgerows of local farms. Despite an ominous construction cost of $5,000, the price was easily paid off in the first the mill went back into operation.

One of the largest telecommunication corporations in the world makes Basking Ridge home – Verizon Wireless.
