Arizona MLS

With its southwest charm, Arizona shimmers as a high point of the western United States. The 48th state in the Union, the Grand Canyon State boasts a population as diverse as its landscaping. From its pine-covered high country to widely-known desert setting, many individuals call the state home as others seemingly look to do the same considering the attention Arizona MLS resources receive. It’s certainly no secret the state has much to offer and can fit the needs of most anyone.

From its tree-lined ridges and mountainous cliffs in the north down to the arid plateaus and vast deserts to the south, Arizona brings a wide variety of visitors. In 1540, Spanish explorer Coronado brought his expedition in search of Cibola, one of the famed Seven Cities of Gold. Over the years Spanish missionaries would visit in efforts to Christianize Native Americans and on February 24, 1864, the United States gained ownership of the territory. Many Mormons sent by Brigham Young established multiple settlements in Arizona and founded many cities including the likes of Prescott and Tempe. On February 14, 1912, Arizona officially became the 48th state in the Union. The economy initially flourished from the likes of cotton farming and copper mining, but in the wake of the Great Depression, much industry suffered like in so many other parts of the country. It was in the late 1920’s to 1930’s when the tourism industry began to gain steam and fueled much of the state’s growth. Soon, Arizona became notable for various resort spas and retirement communities, gaining much attention attributed to its typically year-round favorable climate.

Today, many residents find their homes in Maricopa County, heavily supported by the Phoenix and Mesa areas. Others nestle themselves further north in Flagstaff, which is also the home to Northern Arizona University. Affluent residents hang their hat in the largely high-end community of Scottsdale, which hosts many golf clubs, resort spas and luxury style residences. In the spring, many Major League Baseball call Arizona home as well – including the Chicago Cubs and White Sox who both share HoHoKam Park as their home away from the Windy City.

Of all the growing locations in the southwest, Arizona offers some of the most appealing and sought after real estate in the United States. The year-round warm climate brings many outdoor activities and opportunities for patrons to enjoy rest and relaxation. Arizona MLS resources present numerous opportunities for interested visitors to make the state a more permanent vacation. Regardless as to why, it’s certainly no secret that Arizona offers its visitors and residents the favorable escape that many of them are after.
